At Envision Eye Care, we’ve made it our mission to help you achieve great vision today and healthy eyes for life, and that begins with a comprehensive eye exam. Using the industry’s most advanced technology, our experienced optometrists take your whole health into consideration as they examine your vision and eyes. No matter your family’s eye care needs, our expert eye doctors and wide range of services will help you see the world clearly, now and in the future.
Some eye exams focus on getting you an updated vision prescription and nothing more. Others focus on eye health. At Envision Eye Care, we provide exams that focus on both, to the degree that each unique case demands.
Your eyes are constantly changing. To ensure that they stay healthy, we offer — and highly recommend — annual eye exams, even if you don’t wear corrective eyewear. Using a combination of experience, expertise, and equipment, we offer vision and eye health evaluations that are far more detailed than what you’ll find with the majority of other eye care providers.
We provide quality, compassionate eye care for every member of the family, including children. Vision problems are fairly common in kids, even if they don’t notice or complain. This is because they have no frame of reference for what clear eyesight is like, making them more likely to assume that blurry vision is normal. Sight is crucial to a child’s learning and development, making it especially important to schedule regular comprehensive eye exams for your child, starting as early as possible.
Taking your personal medical history, medications, vision goals, lifestyle, and family history of disease into consideration, our optometrists cater their care to the specifics of your eyes as they perform our many eye health and vision tests. While everyone has access to the same quality of care, knowing your risk factors for vision problems helps us focus our care to your needs.
A visual field exam determines the width of what you can see when your eyes are focused on a single point. We perform these examinations to measure the quality of your peripheral vision, and determine if you have any blind spots or vision loss. These exams are commonly used to monitor the progression of glaucoma and evaluate obstructed sight caused by eyelid problems, such as droopy eyelids.
The eyes should work in sync, focusing on the same area at the same time in order to see a clear image. If a patient is experiencing binocular vision dysfunction, however, the two eyes cannot focus together, which can result in blurred vision, dizziness, double vision, headaches, and eye strain. Our optometrists are specially qualified to perform tests that will show if you have binocular vision dysfunction, and provide treatment if necessary.
It’s important that the pressure inside your eye stays stable. This is called intraocular pressure (IOP). During a tonometry test, we evaluate your IOP, ensuring that it’s not too high. We also check for glaucoma, a range of eye conditions caused by high IOP that can be vision-threatening if not managed properly. If you or someone in your family is at risk for glaucoma, our optometrists can perform tonometry tests to make sure that your IOP is in a safe range.
The retina is a light-sensitive tissue located at the back of the eye that’s responsible for much of your eyesight. It can be affected by many diseases which can threaten your vision and even cause blindness, such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Using wide field imaging technology, our doctors can take take highly-detailed images of your retina, making it easier to detect disease and begin treatment if necessary.
